    What is your ultimate feel-good food? You know the type, on a lazy Sunday when you're feeling cosy and want something warm, tasty but easy to make... We believe it's the humble but heavenly baked potato! 

    Few people think that achieving a perfect baked potato is not that easy... But hey! We found easy ways to help you do the trick...

    You don't even need special tools or ingredients. Just be ready with the following:

    Russet potatoes

    Virgin olive oil

    Ground black pepper

    Kosher salt

    Baking sheet lined with aluminum foil

    Fork


    And now the fun part... 

    Follow the easy procedure we found here:

    Step 1: Clean the Potatoes - Scrub the potatoes under cold water. If there are any eyes or sprouts, use a small spoon or paring knife to carefully remove them.

    Step 2: Prepare for Cooking - Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Rub a small amount of extra virgin olive oil all over the potatoes, just enough to leave a thin coating. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt and pepper.

    Step 3: Vent the Skin - Gently press the tines of a fork into each potato numerous times on all sides. The idea isn't to pierce the flesh but the skin. This will allow steam to escape during the cooking process and will prevent the skin from splitting.

    Step 4: Bake for 55 to 60 Minutes - Use tongs to carefully flip the potatoes 2 to 3 times during the cooking process. Remove from the oven, slice in half, and serve.

    Just a quick note - Baked potatoes are wonderful served on their own with a bit of butter, salt, and pepper. You can also get creative with toppings such as sour cream, cheddar cheese, green onions, or chives.
